Okay, while I understand that most people would be extremely upset at the potential loss of their beloved pet, I do not understand this bizarre case from Dallas, Texas. A man who lost his blue and grey short haired cat came into the Dallas Animal Shelter looking for him. The man found his cat amongst the strays; apparently it had been brought in by someone who was concerned that the cat was a stray. Not a problem happens all the time.
Things got tense when the man learned that he would have to pay a $132 fee in order to get his cat out of the shelter. He grew upset, but left, only to return the next day wielding a bat in order to forcibly remove his cat from the shelter.
Yep, the guy held shelter employees at bay with a baseball bat while he walked back to the cages, put his own cat in a cat carrier and then managed to leave the shelter with said cat and baseball bat. I’m wondering why nobody tackled the dude?
The man also nearly ‘ran over’ two shelter employees with his Brown 1986 Ford F-150 Truck before leaving. I’m quoting ran over, since there’s not a lot of info. there.
Kent Robertson, the shelter’s manager, stated, ‘"I haven't ever experienced this before…Usually, people thank us for rescuing their animals. This was pretty extreme."
It certainly was…but who are we to judge. I would suppose the man didn’t have the funds to get his cat released and simply snapped after a great amount of pressure or some such. However, I would be concerned for the cat’s safety.
